Job Description
**Responsibilities**
Job Summary:
The incumbent accurately and efficiently performs all necessary laboratory services, which may include but are not limited to, patient registration, test ordering, pre-analytical and post-analytical specimen processing, communicating results or other relevant report data, and limited reporting functions. Processes all specimens with appropriate use of the hospital and laboratory information systems. Includes other duties as assigned in accordance with job function and policy.
**Qualifications**
**Requirements:**
+ Six (6) months experience in a Microbiology Laboratory and/or Microbiology Coursework.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory terminology, aseptic technique, laboratory tests and specimen handling and propersafe technique in the handling of hazardous materials and biological specimens.
**Preferred:**
+ Six (6) months experience in an acute care facility.

$35.89 - $35.89 /hour
