Requirements

Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Administrator with at least three years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing our IT infrastructure while supporting end users and ensuring system availability. This role requires proven expertise in Windows environments and hands-on experience with Fortinet and Ubiquiti networking equipment.

This is a contract-to-hire position. The role offers remote flexibility with candidates residing in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee or Georgia for potential travel to one of the office locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring system performance and uptime.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with hardware, software, and network systems.
• Configure and support network infrastructure, including Fortinet firewalls and Ubiquiti switches/access points.
• Administer Active Directory and user access management.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, including patching, monitoring, and threat detection.
• Provide Tier 1 & 2 technical support for escalated IT issues.
• Collaborate with IT leadership on infrastructure upgrades, system improvements, and new deployments.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in system administration or network administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet and Ubiquiti networking equipment is desired
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Azure.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support non-technical end users
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
